RUSH nexgen PROGRAM
This year, with the creation of the NexGen program, we have added another layer of player development at a pivotal age that will enable us to bridge the gap between the Rec program, the RPM program, and the Competitive program. This program will be led by our Head Coach Nick Scarcello, and Assistant Coaches Ola Oyewole and Lauren Henriksson. These 3 coaches have been carefully selected due to their personality, knowledge and passion for the game, and their undeniable traits as role models. The program will focus in large part on the foundations of technical ability using the world renowned Coerver Coaching Curriculum. This will include ball mastery, changes of direction, and 1v1 moves that will likely be more advanced than they have experienced in the past. They will also play small sided games that will test their cognitive decision making abilities in a structured, but extremely fun environment that will hopefully have the players wanting more.
Over the years, we have created a formula of developing technically proficient, autonomous players. We believe our curriculum speaks for itself and has been proven by the volume of players that have gone on to receive athletic scholarships at Colleges and Universities throughout North America, as well as the Rush Select Program, and most recently, the North Alliance Rush Select Program. We therefore feel very strongly that this new program will challenge these young players both technically and cognitively, and help bridge the gap to prepare them for the competitive program.
